Cross Country

Mary decided to run cross country this year and here are some pics from her race that was held on Tuesday in Clearwater Kansas.

Mary at the start...

...about 1/2 finished...running with her friend Taberie

...about 3/4 finished...

...dying at the end...

She ran the two miles in 15:04 and that earned her 5th place...This is her first and last year to run cross country. It's just not her thing but she has done well.

This is NOT a cat bed!!

For some strange reason, the cats (and dogs) think they can just sleep anywhere they want to!! This is the reason I can never grow anything!!

Double Take?!?!

Okay, does this remind you of Mary or what!?! This is me when I was a senior and we can't get over how much it reminds us of Mary's picture!!! Sally Thrasher - 1982

Football and Volleyball!!!!

The kids are off and running with their sporting events. Mary's volleyball team has won both their games, Grace's team has lost both of their games but they are improving and the scores were close. The high school football team lost their first game and then won the second game. They are all doing great and enjoying it!! Here are a few pics taken at their games. Mary going up for a spike
Grace is ready for the ball!!
Braden was in on the tackle...remember the orange/white cleats!! Hint...he is the one on the far left!!

Daddy's visit

My dad (Sally's dad, Bob aka Papa) came out for a vist last week. Here are a few pics from his visit. He and I also visited the Oklahoma Bombing Memorial in OKC together on Friday while the kids were in school.

Daddy at the Bombing memorial. The chairs represent a life lost in the bombing.

The middle of the memorial. This was once a street, but they closed it off and made the memorial park. Behind daddy's right shoulder is the Survivor Tree, the blast did not kill it.

Daddy and Braden after his game.

Braden is the only one with white socks/white & orange cleats...they were on sale. He is a freshman this year and the boys around him are all seniors!!
